Tri0County Community Action Agency’s LIHEAP program offers assistance for low-income individuals and families in need of help with fuel bills.  Homeowners and renters who meet the agency’s income guidelines may be eligible for heating assistance and weatherization services. Tri-County Health Equity Zone Hosts “Coffee Talk” Workshop

On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, the Tri-County Health Equity Zone, or HEZ program hosted a community workshop, which the team called, “Coffee Talk” at the Meehan Overlook at Governor Notte Park, in North Providence. Tri-County Community Action Agency has achieved national accreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation (COA). Tri-County Head Start and Early Head Start Programs are Accepting Applications!

We are currently accepting applications for both home based programs, and classroom programs for Head Start and Early Head Start. We accept pregnant women, and children from birth to age 5 that meet income guidelines. There is no cost to participate in Head Start programs. Residents of Johnston, North Providence, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Burrillville, Glocester, Foster, and Scituate may apply for our classrooms located in northern RI. Residents of North Kingstown, South Kingstown, Narragansett, Hopkinton, Richmond, Exeter, Charlestown, Westerly and Block Island (New Shoreham) are eligible for our classrooms in Washington County.
